This site contains information about my:
- Curriculum Vitae - Currently, I am a Medical Strategist at a strategic consulting company in New York City. I work closely with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies at various stages throughout the drug life cycle. I previously was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at sanofi-aventis in Bridgewater, NJ. In 2006 I was awarded a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry under the guidance of Dr. William L. Jorgensen at Yale University, in New Haven, CT. In 2004, I received a M.S. from Yale University in chemistry. In 2002 I received a M.S. from St. John's University in Jamaica, NY in synthetic organic chemistry. I received a B.S. cum laude from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY in May 2000 with a degree in chemistry.
- Research - I have contributed to wide variety of research in chemistry - from devising a new synthesis of small molecules to computationally determining the effects of the L100I single mutation and L100I + K103N double mutation of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase (HIVRT) on the activity of etravirine and three related analogs to predicting metabolism of small drug-like molecules.
- Links - Throughout my academic and professional experience, I have acknowledged the importance of maintaining a network of enterprising scientists who focus on advancing technology while being visible role models. I was the the CEO of Women In Science At Yale (WISAY), a campus-wide organization of undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral members dedicated to networking, mentoring, and supporting women in science. I trained a proficient successor and currently serve on the Leadership Advisory Board of WISAY.
